      Gem and Nine Inch Nails

Nine Inch Nail members Trent Reznor (standing), Twiggy Ramirez, and Gem Archer have been working in The Village's Studio D on an upcoming NIN album with engineer Alan Moulder (pictured at the board)

A news brief posted last week at prosoundnews.com perhaps sheds a little more light as to Jeordie's involvement with Nine Inch Nails. It reads partially as follows:

Oasis just finished a month of overdubs and mixing in The Village's Studio A with producer Dave Sardy and engineer Greg Gordon, assisted by Andy Brohard. At the same time, Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor and and guitarists Twiggy Ramirez and Gem Archer, worked with longtime engineer Alan Moulder (with Jason Wormer assisting), in Studio D, tracking, overdubbing and mixing for a new album.
As an added note, Gem Archer is also Oasis' rhythm guitarist and, as those of you who've been paying attention know, there have been several exclusive photos given to this site showing Jeordie jamming with Liam Gallagher of Oasis. .........Quite a bit of intermingling and overlapping of talent going on lately, it seems. Stay tuned for any further developments...

      Oasis Album completed

Noel Gallagher blagged it in to the Comedy Awards with Ricky. He told us Oasis have finally completed their next album:

"It's finished, should I give a release date? No, I shouldn't, it's some time in May and there will be a single in March."

"The only thing I was worried about was whether in the end we'd know how good it was because we'd recorded it three times and I think it's great."

"We shot the cover today, and I think it's great because I designed it."

Kirkbride drummer for UK tour ?

Drummer Terry Kirkbride's official website 'hebangsthedrums' has just posted his summer touring schedule. Terry informed L4E a few weeks ago that he did not join the band in LA and does not know if any of the sessions he drummed on in England were going to be used for the new album. It now seems that he will be 'playing percussion' for the UK leg of the OASIS tour this summer and perhaps for further dates , stay tuned !

      Liam and OCS

LIAM GALLAGHER could be making a trip to the Welsh capital to star with Brummie rockers Ocean Colour Scene.

The Oasis frontman is hoping to join OCS at Cardiff University next year.

Both bands were Britpop favourites in the '90s and frontman Simon Fowler said he's desperate to sing with old rival Liam. "We had a studio booked, but then he went to the States," he told Roast. "We're still trying to get him to sing with us. So hopefully it'll happen."

Though an admirer, Simon admits he often sees red at the antics of Liam.

"Getting through to him is like breaking into Fort Knox. But there's a big difference between feeling angry and violence. "The first time I met Liam was in a pub in Brum. I ended up trying to split up a fight between Noel and Liam, but was unceremoniously told to mind my own business. But we'd have a drink if we met up again. The Gallaghers are what is on the tin. What you see is what you get."

Channel 4 celebrates the Greatest Albums

In 2005, to celebrate the greatest albums ever made, Channel 4 will be bringing you a four-hour celebration of these classic recordings, as we relive our favourite songs and reveal why and how each album came about.

They've nominated 125 albums. You get to choose your top ten, and then nominate another five albums not on the list.

Oasis have two albums in the list of 125:

    [84] Oasis - Definitely Maybe (1994)
With the swaggering chords of the opening Rock 'n' Roll Star, Oasis announced that big, brash Brit Rock was here to stay at least for a few years. This was the fastest selling debut in British history.

    [85] Oasis - (What's the Story) Morning Glory (1995)
The album that turned Oasis into megastars. Featuring Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger, Roll With It, Some Might Say.

Get voting for the lads! VOTE HERE

    thanx @ Thom F

      Liam's love for G4

Rock wildman Liam Gallagher has voted for classical boyband G4 in every episode of British talent show THE X FACTOR.

The OASIS singer is glued to his TV screen every Saturday night to watch judges SIMON COWELL, SHARON OSBOURNE and LOUIS WALSH battle it out with contestants under their individual wings.

And, despite his hellraising past, Gallagher rates opera-styled quartet G4 as his favourite group and has even asked Walsh to arrange a meeting with them. Walsh says, "Liam said he loves G4 - they're his favourite band at the moment. He hasn't missed an episode of The X Factor and has voted for G4 all along.

"It's not what you'd expect. But he was so excited. He wasn't joking. Now I shall arrange for him to meet G4."
