      Noel part of "Super Youth"

It used to be the time of life when youthful exuberance gave way to encroaching middle age. By the age of 25, pop music, clubbing and music festivals were supposed to have been replaced by marriage, children and cosy nights in front of the TV.

However, new research shows that almost half of 25- to 39-yearolds are refusing to say farewell to their youth. Nicknamed "Super Youth" and typified by the likes of Radio1 DJ Sara Cox, 28, supermodel Kate Moss, 29, Xfm presenter Zoe Ball, 32, and 36-year-old Oasis singer Noel Gallagher, they are continuing the lifestyle they enjoyed as teenagers and early twenty-somethings

Almost a decade on, researchers found that almost half of 25- to 39-year-olds have virtually identical tastes to under-25s. The 4.5 million Super Youths are determined to stay "forever cool". They spend on the best clothes, holidays, bars, clubs and restaurants.

The survey of 1,000 people shows:

46 per cent are passionate about fashion compared with 34 per cent of previous 25 to 39-year-olds

68 per cent are passionate about music (50 per cent)

51 per cent look out for new bands at Glastonbury (35 per cent)

53 per cent still go clubbing (28 per cent)

69 per cent love going to gigs (39 per cent)

57 per cent still enjoy wild parties (50 per cent)

56 per cent believe in taking care of their appearance (49 per cent).

Backstage with Gem at Reading Festival

out takes of a fan post on forum:

........I then saw Gem drinking with Vernon Kay near the bar so I decided this will be one of the few chances I get so I went up to talk to him. I said to him that he looked like he'd had one too many and he replied "I am perfectly sober" in a posh voice, he was totally plastered but a very funny drunk.

I asked him why Noel and Liam hadn't turned up, and he said Liams at the pub and Noels in bed. Asking if he'd seen any bands today he said he'd seen the doves who were great and a bit of blur and he said the new songs were shite. I then asked him how the new album was coming along and he said its absolutely amazing and how 2004 is going to be their year. He said that Liams got 4 songs which are the best he's ever written, Andys got 3 songs that are outstanding and Noels and his songs are masterpieces as usual, He said Stop The Clocks is the best Oasis song since Hung In A Bad place to which I laughed but he said it'll definitely be out next year.......

      Better to die fighting .....

I THOUGHT that LIAM GALLAGHER’S philosophy for life was along the lines of “mad fer it” – but it’s not.

I caught up with the rock wildman at the V Festival where he was wearing his motto on the back of his shirt.

Liam, above, claims to live by the BOB MARLEY quote, “Better to die fighting for freedom than to be a prisoner all the days of your life.”
I can see where he gets the fighting bit from – he’s been in enough scraps to last ten lifetimes.

      Luvin Liam

NO rock ’n roll festival would be complete without LIAM GALLAGHER — even if he is all loved up.

The OASIS frontman turned up at Weston Park on Saturday and at Chelmsford yesterday to support fiancée NICOLE APPLETON. She was on stage at both gigs with her sister NATALIE. Nicole grabbed her man — hiding under an oversized hat — for a quick kiss and cuddle in the VIP area yesterday.

Looks like the wildman of rock has been well and truly tamed.

      V Festival a huge success

V Festival bosses who were granted a wish-list of top acts - and a 70,000 following at Weston Park have dubbed the gig the best to date.

And organisers have confirmed that the event while return to its spiritual Staffordshire home next year, but they will have a tough job on their hands to match the weekend's successful line up.

Sun worshippers clad in skimpy wear had the perfect opportunity to top off their tans and enjoy the atmosphere, generated by the likes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Coldplay.

Celebrity hunters were disappointed after the regular D-list stars failed to show up. Backstage though, Noel Gallagher was making the most of a plush buffet laid on for artists.

The Oasis bad boy has been at the site on Saturday supporting his PR girlfriend who was in charge of the Right Guard Xtreme Sports skateboard stand. He also had the chance to catch a glimpse of brother Liam's lover Nicole who was performing with sister as Appleton in the JJB arena tent.

Festival organiser Andy Redhead was delighted with the success of the bumper weekend.

He said: "It has been absolutely fantastic it is great that when you write out a wish-list of who you want at your gig and that wish is granted.

The crowd have been brilliant, everyone had wanted to be a part of a successful festival which in the last three years has turned into one of the UK's premier music events."

A fan himself, Andy raved about the Red Hot Chili Peppers' performance."

Noel at Stafford and V Festival ?

THE STANDS have invited NOEL GALLAGHER to play with them at tomorrow's V FESTIVAL performance at CHELMSFORD (August 17).

The Liverpudlian four-piece asked the Oasis guitarist to appear with them on stage, however Gallagher may be forced to decline the offer due to a clash with his favourite football team.

Singer Howie Payne told NME.COM: "We asked him to come up on stage tomorrow, but he said that Man City are playing... maybe he'll turn up."

He also revealed that the band offered Noel a guest slot before their set at the Stafford site today (August 16): "He came over to us and asked, 'Why aren't I playing today?' We then told him to come up, but he said that he didn't have his guitar with him."

Payne added: "I told him I had loads of guitars with me, but he insisted that he wanted to play with HIS guitar."

Gallagher was spotted at the Stafford site in support of his up and coming mates The Stands and The Bandits.

      Liam in double trouble.....

He's back again! Liam Gallagher, leadsinger of Oasis and notorious rowdy of UK's music scene got into two "situations" within a single night on Ibiza.
First stop was the "DC10". Elvis-Imitator Howard tried to welcome the Briton. But he sweared: "piss off, you southern c*ck." friends prevented them from fighting each other (physically). At the "Manumission" he got close to the club owner's fiancee. As he intervened Liam replied: "I always get what i want!" - again he was thrown out.

      Oasis News Snippets

During a recent concert at the Verizon Music Festival Aimee Mann (of Til Tuesday fame) filled out a two-hour set with plenty of banter, during which she divulged that "Make a Killing" was written for Noel Gallagher, professed an unabashed love for Coldplay.........(UCLA Daily Bruin)

Ibiza is going upmarket. Fed up with its portrayal as a hedonistic playground for teenage British tourists out of their mind on cheap lager and drugs, businessmen on the island are trying to attract more money, class and glamour. At the moment supermodel Elle Macpherson and the singer Dido are holidaying here, and rapper P. Diddy cruised in on his luxurious yacht yesterday. Naomi Campbell, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Liam Gallagher and Patrick Cox have also made the trip.........(Guardian)

Keith Richards on Liam in the latest NME Magazine interview : "......He's a big mouthed slob. I don't mind him though. He's got a good thing going. He's just like Johnny Rotten spitting at people......." (NME Magazine)

Getting an E-mail from Har Mar Superstar is like paging through the gossip items in Us magazine -- except Har Mar's celebrity run-ins are actually (and miraculously) more believable.
The king of nipples and ripples sent greetings last week from England, which has been his jumping-off point all summer for European festivals and a weekly gig at Manumission dance/sex club on the party-centric Ibiza, off Spain. The island gig apparently has been a real hot spot. And, most interestingly, Oasis singer Liam Gallagher: "He drunkenly requested Beatles songs to me, thinking I was a DJ or something. Kind of weird."....
    (Har Mar Superstar website)

Ok, so the news of the week is not exactly anything to get too excited about but perhaps : No News is Good News...? webmaster

      Fat dancer's quite the comedian

Taking a swipe at rivals Oasis, who played two nights at the famous venue in 1996, Williams started to strum the opening chords to 'Wonderwall' before declaring, "This is the only time you'll hear that song on a third night at Knebworth."
